Ladies and gentlemen it is now time to learn some of the basic skills that you need to be an effective e-mailer. Here are some questions to think about while going through this activity.
1. What does an e-mail address look like?
2. When you receive an e-mail, where does it usually go?
3. What is the text that you can automatically put at the end of every email called?
4. What is an attachment?
5. Should I always send attachments at their original size?
6. Junk e-mails are also known as what?
Keep your eyes and ears open for more interesting facts and things that you might not have known about e-mail.

Every once and a while I like to have students take a look at some of the websites that I have "discovered". I think that they are pretty cool, but will they hold up to the severe scrutinization of middle school students? These are four random sites that I picked from "my list". Let me know what you think.

Greetings tech classes! I have to stay home today as my son is not feeling very well (He puked!). So read on to understand your classroom assignment.
6th Grade - I am sorry but we will have to wait one more day to create your accounts. :>(
8th Grade - I have the storyboard papers in a folder on the table with the printers. Keep working on your project. I expect you to get closer to completing your video. If you do a good job I will have the guest teacher give you a couple of choices of things to do. NO FACEBOOK!!! Your guest teacher will be instructed to give you a level 2 and send you to the responsibility room if you aren't cooperating.
7th Grade - Make sure you are sitting in the correct seat. If you are not you get to fill out a plan. :>)
You better not pout, you better not cry, you better not shout I'm telling you why, because when Mr. Quick comes back to town he better have a good report!
And NO, I don't care that this doesn't make much sense! BE GOOD!
